Online-Kommentare unserer Kunden: Their 2004 Nackenheim Rothenberg Riesling Spatlese is equally delicious; a notch down in sweetness and more sprightly but with many of the attributes of the Auslese. Intense bouquet of apricots and lime, freshly cut apples, guava, fresh pineapple, Turkish delight; sweet cone honey-scented with a background of ginger spice, citrus notes and flinty minerality. Juicy, racy palate bursting with golden peaches, pineapple, piercing tangy apricots and mandarins, then building in texture to a soft creamy mid-palate with appreciable honeyed sweetness (an astounding 71 grams per litre) that is superbly camouflaged by breathtaking steely acidity. Regaining its raciness as it accelerates across the palate there is tangy grapefruit, mandarin juiciness amongst increasing spiciness and slate- minerality and gun-smoke flintiness; the farewell showing hints of palm sugar sweetness yet blazon with perpetual tangy acidity and warming spice. A remarkable symmetry between late-harvest sweetness and the powerful attributes of riesling. Also extremely versatile, pairing particularly well with spicy Asian and Thai dishes, game birds with sweeter sauces, fresh tropical fruit platters, mild blue cheeses, or simply on its own as an aperitif or palate reviver.
